CANYON, Texas – The #25 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M led in mostly every offensive category on Saturday afternoon but the Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps battled back from a 2-1 deficit to pick up a big Lone Star Conference volleyball win (25-17, 23-25, 25-16, 22-25, 14-16) at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock.

Torrey Miller led the way for the Lady Buffs as the Brownwood native registered a match-high 21 kills on 50 swings with eight attack errors to hit .260 on the afternoon to go along with 15 digs for a double-double.
Camy Jones,
Kayla Elliott and
Abi Nash all finished the match with 11 kills each while Nash tallied 20 digs for a double-double of her own.Â

Blair Moreland dished out a team-high 33 assists while
Chandler Vogel had 21 digs in the back row. The Lady Buffs finished the afternoon with 72 kills on 199 swings with 26 attack errors to hit .231 as a team with 66 assists, seven aces, 78 digs and 12 blocks.

The Lady Chaps were led by Sage Chain who tallied 19 kills on 42 swings with just three attack errors to hit .381 on the afternoon with and assists and three blocks. Jalee Sims led all players with 43 assists to go along with 20 digs for a double-double. LCU finished with 59 kills on 177 attempts with 22 attack errors to hit .209 on the afternoon with 49 assists, four aces, 79 digs and six blocks.

The Lady Buffs return home for the final two matches of the regular season next weekend as they host Texas Woman's on Friday evening for Senior Night with first serve set for 6 p.m. followed by a Saturday afternoon matchup with DBU (3 p.m.) in the regular season finale at The Box.
