#6 LCU Outlasts the #22 Lady Buffs in the LSC Semifinals, 59-46

FRISCO, Texas – The #6 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps connected 10 times from behind the arc on Saturday afternoon as they outlasted #22 West Texas A&M in the semifinal round of the 2020 Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Championship at the Comerica Center in Frisco, 59-46.

- The Lady Buffs were led by Delaney Nix who went 5-of-8 from the floor including 4-of-7 from behing the arc for a team-high 14 points to go along with two rebounds and two steals, Abby Spurgin reached double-digits for the 14thconsecutive game as the junior went 4-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the line for 12 points to go along with three rebounds and two blocks.
- LCU was led offensively by Allie Schulte who went 6-of-12 from the field including 4-of-8 from long range for a game-high 16 points to go along with four rebounds, Caitlyn Cunyus chipped in 12 points while dishing out five assists with Emma Middleton grabbing nine rebounds.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs went 9-of-26 (34.6%) from the field in the first half including 3-of-9 (33.3%) from deep and 3-of-4 (75%) from the charity stripe with 15 rebounds (four offensive, 11 defensive), five assists, eight turnovers, seven steals and no blocks.
- LCU finished the first half going 11-of-23 (47.8%) from the floor including 6-of-12 (50%) from behind the arc and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line with 14 rebounds (one offensive, 13 defensive), five assists, seven turnovers, three steals and two blocks.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT went 16-of-49 (32.7%) from the floor including 6-of-17 (35.3%) from deep and 8-of-14 (57.1%) from the charity stripe with 34 total rebounds (nine offensive, 25 defensive), nine assists, 17 turnovers, 10 steals and two blocks in the loss.
- The Lady Chaps finished the game going 20-of-48 (41.7%) from the field including 10-of-24 (41.7%) from behind the arc and 9-of-10 (90%) from the free throw line with 31 rebounds (three offensive, 28 defensive), 12 assists, 12 turnovers, eight steals and three blocks on the afternoon.
