Lady Buffs Sweep the Season Series with Eastern New Mexico, 58-51

PORTALES, New Mexico – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M swept a regular-season Lone Star Conference divisional series from the rival Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds on Saturday afternoon with a 58-51 victory at Greyhound Arena in Portales, New Mexico.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led by Abby Spurgin who went 9-of-15 from the floor for a game-high 18 points to go along with nine rebounds and five blocks, Delaney Nix followed with 12 points as the sophomore went 4-of-7 from behind the arc followed by Tiana Parker with 10 points and five rebounds.
- Eastern New Mexico was led offensively by Zamorye Cox who went 4-of-13 from the floor including 3-of-9 from behind the arc for a team-high 14 points followed by Natalie DeLonge with 10 points and a block, Chelsea Hunter grabbed six rebounds to go along with four points and three assists in the loss.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 15-of-32 (46.9%) from the floor including 3-of-9 (33.3%) from behind the arc while not attempting a free throw to go along with 22 rebounds (three offensive, 19 defensive), 12 assists, six turnovers, one steal and four blocks.
- ENMU went 8-of-32 (25%) from the field in the opening half including 1-of-9 (11.1%) from deep and 1-of-4 (25%) from the charity stripe with 19 rebounds (six offensive, 13 defensive), five assists, six turnovers, three steals and two blocks. 
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 25-of-52 (48.1%) from the field including 5-of-15 (33.3%) from behind the arc and 3-of-11 (27.3%) from the charity stripe with 39 rebounds (five offensive, 34 defensive), 18 assists, 19 turnovers, four steals and seven blocks.
- The Greyhounds went 20-of-65 (30.8%) from the floor in the game including 5-of-21 (23.8%) from deep and 6-of-10 (60%) from the free throw line with 36 total rebounds (12 offensive, 24 defensive), 11 assists, 12 turnovers, six steals and two blocks.
