SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M capped off a long road trip with another five-set victory on Saturday afternoon as they battled back to take the final two frames from the St. Mary's Rattler (25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 15-13) in Lone Star Conference action at Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio, Texas.
 
Selena Batiste led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs with 21 kills on 53 swings with just two attack errors to hit .358 followed by Lindsey Smith (17), Torrey Miller (13) and Isabel Hurliman (10) with double-digit kills, Sadie Snay dished out 54 assists to go along with eight kills and 11 digs for a double-double while Chandler Vogel led the way in the back row with 28 digs. WT finished the afternoon with 73 kills on 203 swings with 27 attack errors to hit .227 with 69 assists, five aces, 109 digs and six blocks in the win.
 
KK Payne paced the Rattler offense with 16 kills on 51 swings with six attack errors to hit .196 on the afternoon to go along with 14 digs for a double-double followed by Julia Deais with 12 kills, Bree Perry dished out a team-high 49 assists with 12 digs while Catherine Cruz led all players with 30 digs in the loss. StMU registered 63 kills on 203 swings with 21 attack errors to hit .207 on the afternoon with 55 assists, two aces, 55 digs and seven blocks.
 
The Lady Buffs return to the friendly confines of the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" on Tuesday night as they host the rival Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico with first serve set for 6 p.m. in Lone Star Conference action.
