LUBBOCK, Texas – The Chaps of Lubbock Christian scored all six of their runs with two outs on Tuesday afternoon as they snapped a 13-game win streak by the #12 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M at Hays Field in Lubbock, Texas in South Central Region action.

The Buffs take some time off this weekend during their bye week before traveling to Lawton, Oklahoma to end the regular season on May 3-5 with a four-game Lone Star Conference series at McMahon Field against the Cameron Aggies.

The Chaps threatened in the home half of the second inning with runners on first and second with one out before
Zach Dixon forced an infield fly to
Kyle Kaufman at first followed by a chopper to
Nick Guaragna at second to end the frame.

LCU got on the board in the bottom of the fifth as a two-out single to right with a Buff error put a runner in scoring position before Braden Hayward doubled to the gap in left center followed by a Will Clark single to left with another WT error that ran the lead to 3-0.

LCU added to their lead in the sixth with three more runs all with two outs to make it 6-0. Dixon picked up the loss (4-1) for the Buffs, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts in his five innings of work.Â
