Balanced Attack Leads the #12 Lady Buffs Past UC-Colorado Springs, 75-50

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The #12 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M came out firing on Friday night in Colorado Springs as they scored 30 points in the opening quarter and never looked back on their way to a 75-50 victory over the UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions at Gallogly Events Center.

- The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Abby Spurgin who went 8-of-12 from the field including 4-of-5 from the free throw line to lead all players with 20 points to go along with six rebounds, one assists and four blocks in the win while Delaney Nix (15) and Braylyn Dollar (13) finished in double-digits.
- The Mountain Lions were led offensively by Madi Gaibler as she finished the night going 5-of-8 from the floor and 1-of-2 from the free throw line for 11 points to go along with two assists, two blocks and two steals followed by Eliza de Vera dnd Ellie Moore with nine points each.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 19-of-29 (65.5%) from the floor including 4-or-7 (57.1%) from behind the arc and 7-of-13 (53.8%) from the free throw line with 20 rebounds (seven offensive, 13 defensive), 13 assists, eight turnovers, four blocks and five steals.
- UCCS went 10-of-28 (35.7%) from the field in the opening half including 2-of-5 (40%) from the charity stripe with 11 rebounds (five offensive, six defensive), seven assists, 14 turnovers, one block and six steals.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 29-of-57 (50.9%) from the floor including 5-of-13 (38.5%) from behind the arc and 12-of-20 (60%) from the free throw line with 47 rebounds (18 offensive, 29 defensive), 19 assists, 20 turnovers, six blocks and six steals.
- The Mountain Lions finished the night going 20-of-55 (36.4%) from the field including 7-of-15 (46.7%) from deep and 3-of-4 (75%) from the charity stripe with 19 rebounds (six offensive, 13 defensive), 14 assists, 20 turnovers, five blocks and nine steals in the loss.
