KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M picked up their fifth straight victory on Friday night as they swept past the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas (26-24, 25-18, 25-18) during Lone Star Conference crossover action at the Steinke Center in Kingsville.

Selena Batiste led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs with 16 kills on 34 swings with just two attack errors to hit .412 on the night followed by
Lindsey Smith and
Torrey Miller with seven kills each, reigning LSC Setter of the Week
Gabby Emery paced the WT offense with 31 assists to go along with nine digs to just miss a double-double while
Chandler Vogel led the way on the back row with 17 digs in the win.

TAMUK was led by Meghan Merlino with 10 kills on 22 swings with just two attack errors to hit .364 on the night to go along with nine digs to narrowly miss a double-double, Lauren Kadilis dished out 16 assists for the Javelinas while Jordan Schenkel registered a team-high 12 digs in the loss.Â

The Lady Buffs conclude their South Texas road trip on Saturday afternoon as they take on the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International with first serve set for 1 p.m. in Laredo.
