#19 Buffs Battle to a 1-1 Draw with UT Tyler on Thursday Night

TYLER, Texas – Junior Stefan Andjelic recorded his third goal of the season as the No. 19 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M left Tyler, Texas with a 1-1 draw in Lone Star Conference action on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Buffs outshot the Patriots 29-16, including 12 shots on frame while UTT had three.  WT had a chance to get on the board early as junior midfielder Matthieu Donati's attempt was denied by Parker O'Quinn in the 8th minute. 
 
After a 70-minute lightning delay, WT scored in the 49th minute when Lone Star Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Lucca Lima found Stefan Andjelic to take a 1-0 lead.  UT Tyler tied it up as Travis Collins finished a pass from Ramiro Alvarez in the 60th minute. 
 
The Buffs headed into their first overtime of the season as the two teams tallied numerous chances in both overtime periods but neither could find the back of the net for the game to end in a 1-1 draw.
 
Colin Burgiel logged 110 minutes for WT registering two saves on 16 shots faced.
 
UP NEXT
The Buffs will return to Canyon to welcome the #10 Dustdevils of Texas A&M International on Thursday, Oct. 10.  The match between WT and TAMUI will be the Buffs third top-25 contest this season.
