CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M finished off a weekend of Lone Star Conference action with a sweep of the visiting Western New Mexico Mustangs (25-16, 25-22, 25-22) on Saturday afternoon in front of over 300 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon. 
 
Selena Batiste led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs with 14 kills on 40 swings with seven attack errors to hit .175 on the afternoon followed by Torrey Miller with 11 kills and 14 digs for a double-double, Gabby Emery dished out a match-high 37 assists to go along with nine digs while Chandler Vogel led the way on the back row with 16 digs in the win. WT registered 46 kills on 127 attempts with 16 errors to hit .236 as a team with 44 assists, three aces, 60 digs and three blocks.
 
WNMU was led by Bria Augustine with a match-high 16 kills on 36 swings with four attack errors to hit .333 on the afternoon to go along with 13 digs for a double-double, Madellyn Culp paced the Mustang offense with 14 assists while Gabi Lau led the way on the back row with 16 digs in the loss. The Mustangs finished the afternoon with 33 kills on 127 swings with 18 attack errors to hit .118 as a team with 32 assists, six aces, 54 digs and five blocks.
 
The Lady Buffs hit the road next weekend for Lone Star Conference action as they take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday night at the Steinke Center before finishing off their South Texas road trip in Laredo on Saturday afternoon against Texas A&M International.
