Kelley-Lusk got the Lady Buffs off to a perfect start with a goal in the opening minutes. The sophomore got the end of a ball over the top from Jessica Diaz before calmly slotting it past the charging Kirsten Lane in the second minute. It was the second-fastest goal scored by WT this season.
The home side would double their advantage right before halftime when Mendoza got on the end of Marlene van Mourik's corner kick. The Red Oaks, Texas native timed her run perfectly to get a foot on van Mourik's swinging ball for her first career goal.
Jacob got on the stat sheet with her eighth of the season in 85th minute after some nice work down the right wing by Kelley-Lusk. The sophomore got enough separation from her defender to send a ball into the box to the waiting Jacob who gained possession with one touch before beating the keeper at the near post. It marked the fourth time this season that Kelley-Lusk has assisted Jacob and first since the game against Southern Nazarene.
The Greyhound would get one back in the 88th minute on a goal from Keyara Zuniga on a corner kick. It was the first goal allowed by the Lady Buffs in close to 270 minutes.
Courtney Dippel became the second goalkeeper in program history to reach the 300 save plateau with her save in the 62nd minute. She finished the game with eight saves leaving her six short of breaking Yvette Bedoy's record of 306.
