th Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon as they outlasted the fifth seeded TexAnns of Tarleton State, 80-66 at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas. Junior guard
Megan Gamble picked up Tournament MVP honors while
Lexy Hightower and
Tiana Parker were named to the All-Tournament Team.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- West Texas A&M was led offensively by
Tyesha Taylor who went 8-of-10 from the floor with 16 points followed by
Lexy Hightower (15),
Megan Gamble (14) and
Madison Parker (10) in double-figures.
Tiana Parker led the way defensively for the Lady Buffs with six rebounds and six blocks in the victory.
- Katie Webster led the way for the TexAnns as she went 5-of-14 from the floor including 8-of-11 from the free throw line with a game-high 18 points followed by Mackenzie Hailey with 14 and McKinley Bostad with 10, Webster finished just one board shy of a double-double with nine rebounds.

FIRST HALF:
- The Lady Buffs went 13-of-29 (44.8%) from the floor in the opening half including 4-of-10 (40%) from behind the arc and 7-of-8 (87.5%) from the free throw line with 18 rebounds (seven offensive, 11 defensive), nine assists, six turnovers, five blocks and five steals.
- Tarleton State finished the first half going 12-of-31 (38.7%) from the field including 3-of-8 (37.5%) from deep and a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe with 16 rebounds (eight offensive, eight defensive), five assists, seven turnovers, no blocks and three steals.
SECOND HALF:
- WT finished the game going 29-of-52 (55.8%) from the floor including 7-of-14 (50%) from behind the arc and 15-of-19 (78.9%) from the charity stripe with 33 rebounds (10 offensive, 23 defensive), 20 assists, 16 turnovers, nine blocks and six steals in the win.
- The TexAnns went 23-of-62 (37.1%) from the field including 5-of-15 (33.3%) from deep and 15-of-21 (71.4%) from the charity stripe with 31 total rebounds (18 offensive, 13 defensive), 12 assists, 14 turnovers, no blocks and eight steals on the afternoon.
