th win of the season on Saturday afternoon as
Lexy Hightower scored a career high 27 points in a 78-67 Lone Star Conference victory at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas during a Highway 287 Challenge Cup matchup. It marks the 27
th season that the Lady Buffs have registered atleast 20 victories since 1980, marking the sixth straight campaign to reach the plateau.

- West Texas A&M was led offensively by
Lexy Hightower as the sophomore guard went 9-of-17 from the floor including 5-of-8 from behind the arc to set a new career high with 27 points followed by
Madison Parker with 13 and
Deleyah Harris with 11,
Tiana Parker led the way defensively with eight rebounds and four blocks.
- Micheline Mercelita led the Mustangs offensively as she went 5-of-6 from the floor including 6-of-9 from the charity stripe for 16 points to go along with a game-high 13 rebounds for a double-double, Chelsea Adams pitched in 12 points followed by Jasmine Richardson with 11.
FIRST HALF:
- The Lady Buffs went 19-of-33 (57.6%) from the field including 4-of-11 (36.4%) from behind the arc and 7-of-17 (41.2%) from the charity stripe with 23 rebounds (nine offensive, 14 defensive), 13 assists, eight turnovers, no blocks and eight steals.
- Midwestern State finished the first half going 9-of-26 (34.6%) from the floor including 2-of-6 (33.3%) from deep and 10-of-13 (76.9%) from the free throw line with 11 rebounds (three offensive, eight defensive), six assists, 11 turnovers, no blocks and three steals.
SECOND HALF:
- WT finished the game going 27-of-48 (56.3%) from the floor including 6-of-14 (42.9%) from behind the arc and 18-of-33 (54.5%) from the free throw line with 33 rebounds (nine offensive, 24 defensive), 19 assists, 20 turnovers, five blocks and eight steals on the afternoon.
- The Mustangs went 18-of-51 (35.3%) from the field including 2-of-11 (18.2%) from deep and 29-of-36 (80.6%) from the free throw line with 29 rebounds (11 offensive, 18 defensive), 10 assists, 18 turnovers, no blocks and eight steals in the loss.
