PORTALES, N.M. – Samantha Silvestre and Hannah Kelley-Lusk scored in the second half as the #17 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games with a 2-1 victory over Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday night at Greyhound Stadium. WT is now 11-1-1 overall and 6-0-1 in Lone Star Conference play while ENMU drops to 5-5-2 (3-3-1).

After a first half that saw the two teams record a combined five shots, Samantha Silvestre got the Lady Buffs on the board with her second goal of the season in the 54th minute. The junior scored against her former team on a corner kick that went straight through the keeper's hands as WT scored first for the 10th time this season.
With a one-goal advantage, Hannah Kelley-Lusk came alive up front for the Lady Bufffs with a pair of shots before doubling their advantage in the 75th minute. The sophomore saw her first shot blocked but got on the end of the rebound to find the back of the net for the eighth time this season. The Farmington, N.M. native has now scored in four straight starts dating back to Sept. 26 against the Greyhounds.
The visitors came close to make it a three-goal lead with Kelley-Lusk, Emily Avila and Khalie Jacob all recording shots on-goal. The Greyhounds would get one back in the 85th minute on Madison Luttrell's first of the season but would not get another shot on-goal as WT held on for the win.
Courtney Dippel picked up her 11th win of the season making one save while allowing a goal for only the second time in LSC play.
