DENVER, Colorado – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M weren't ready for their season to end on Friday night as they started fast and never looked back as they swept the second seeded Roadrunners of Metro State in the 2017 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Semifinals at the Regis Fieldhouse in Denver, Colorado.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Buffs hit .250 as a team with 39 kills on 112 swings with 11 attack errors to go along with 35 assists, seven service aces, 51 digs and 13 total blocks in the win.
- Metro State registered 47 kills on 130 attempts with 23 attack errors to hit .185 on the night with 43 assists, three aces, 58 digs and two blocks.
- Crystal Thomas provided the senior leadership as the San Antonio native led the way offensively with 11 kills on 25 swings with just three attack errors to hit an impressive .320 in the win. Selena Batiste paced the Lady Buff offense with 16 assists to go along with six kills while Chandler Vogel continued her great freshman campaign with a match-high 15 digs.
 
UP NEXT:
- The Lady Buffs now advance to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Finals on Saturday night at the Regis Fieldhouse in Denver, Colorado to face off with the top seed and host #9 Rangers of Regis University who topped RMAC rival Colorado School of Mines in four sets during the semifinals on Friday night. First serve for the regional title match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.
