STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M kept their season alive on Thursday night as they started slow but stormed past the Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville in four sets during the 2017 Lone Star Conference Tournament Quarterfinals at Wisdom Gym South in Stephenville, Texas.

- The Lady Buffs hit .216 as a team with 54 kills on 176 swings with 16 attack errors to go along with 47 assists, nine service aces, 79 digs and five total blocks in the win.
- Texas A&M-Kingsville registered 55 kills on 177 swings with 25 errors to hit .169 as a team with 53 assists, two service aces, 96 digs and seven blocks on the night.
- Freshman Erin Clark led the way offensively with 14 kills on 38 swings with just three attack errors as the LSC Freshman of the Year hit .289 on the night followed by Selena Batiste with nine kills, Batiste paced the WT offensive with 24 assists and 16 digs for a double-double while Gabby Emery dished out 15 assists with 15 digs for a double-double of her own.

- The Lady Buffs advance to tomorrow night's Lone Star Conference Semifinals against the #15 TexAnns of Tarleton State with first serve set for 7:30 p.m. Sixth seeded Texas Woman's will take on second seeded Texas A&M-Commerce in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. followed by the WT/TSU matchup.
