HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • In the second meeting between the two teams this season, the Lady Buffs had two shots blocked early in the first half and sophomore Samantha Silvestre then had a shot and save from UCCS goalkeeper Taylor Proctor at the 18:55 mark.
  • From there through rest of the half, it was a barrage of shots from UCCS, capped with the goal from Patterson.  She fired from 25-yards out on an assist from Ella Fisher for her seventh score of the season at the 43:49 mark for a 1-0 Mountain Lion lead.
  • WT had just two shots, one wide and one blocked from the 18:55 mark through the rest of the half.
  • Junior Khadidra Debesette had a good look at the 58:17 mark for the equalizer, but Proctor was up to the task for her second save.
  • The Lady Buffs kept attacking and, late in the game, WT had a corner kick from sophomore Marlene van Mourik and a header from Debesette sailed just wide.
  • Dippel had four more saves through the first 35 minutes of the second half.
  • Debesette had a shot and save from Procter at the 84:02 mark.

  • The Lady Buffs didn't commit a foul in the first half and committed a season-low one for the game.

  • Dippel had seven saves as she finished the season 10-7-5, while Debesette had four shots with two on goal in the game.

  • WT falls to 3-10-1 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
