DENVER, Colorado – The #9 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M trailed trailed by six points with 6:16 to play but big shots down the stretch and tough defense propelled WT to a 58-53 victory in front of over 100 fans at the Regis Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon in a rematch of last year's South Central Regional Quarterfinals with the Regis Rangers.

- West Texas A&M was led offensively by Lexy Hightower with 15 points as the Amarillo product went 5-of-11 from the floor and 4-of-4 from the free throw line followed by Deleyah Harris with 13 and CeCe Wooten with 12 in the win.
- Majestie Robinson led all players with 20 points as she went 6-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-6 from behind the arc followed by Jaz'Myne Sniped with 10 points.

- The Lady Buffs went 8-of-20 (47.7%) from the floor including 1-of-3 (33.3%) from deep and 2-of-3 (66.6%) from the charity stripe with 11 rebounds (one offensive, 10 defensive), four assists, 10 turnovers, two blocks and five steals.
- Regis finished the first half going 7-of-23 (38.3%) from the field including 2-of-8 (25%) from deep and 5-of-7 (76.9%) from the free throw line with four assists, 12 turnovers, two blocks and one steal.
