th, propelled the West Texas A&M baseball team to a 3-2 win at Northwestern Oklahoma State Sunday afternoon. With the win, WT improved to 5-2 on the year, while NWOSU fell to 2-6.
The Buffs were led by Hansen who went 2 for 5 with the winning RBI. Junior
Cole Sanchez belted his second home run of the weekend going 1 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI. Senior
Aaron De La Paz was 1 for 3 with a run scored. WT had three runs on seven hits with one error, while NWOSU was scored two runs on eight hits with two errors.

Justin McAllister went 7.1 innings, allowing five hits, one earned run with two walks and he fanned five. McAllister didn't factor into the decision. Senior
Kyle Tinius (2-0) pitched the final 3.2 innings, allowing three hits and one unearned run with three strikeouts.
NWOSU was led by Xyruse Martinez went 2 f or 5, while Stephen Deckard was 2 for 3 with a RBI and a double. Pitcher Pat Delano went 6.2 innings, allowing five hits, two earned runs, walking one and fanning two. Brody Ausfahl (0-1) took the loss as the Rangers pitched four in the game. Ausfahl went 2.2 innings, allowing one hit, one earned run, walking one and fanning two.
The Rangers opened the scoring in the first as Jason Freeman scored a run on a ground out to third. WT evened the score in the top of the second as De La Paz singled with one out. Junior
Troy LaBrie singled to left and Hansen loaded the bases with a bunt single. Senior
Mason Shiflett hit a sacrifice fly for the equalizer.
WT took the lead in the sixth as Sanchez began the frame with a solo home run to left. Senior
Matt Cole reached on an error and later reached third, but the Buffs were unable to bring him around to score. The Buffs had a chance in the seventh with another Ranger miscue, but left two on base in the inning.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Rangers got a single to center to begin the inning a balk later moved the runner to second and an error advanced him to third. A sacrifice fly tied the game at two. LaBrie then gunned down the would-be winning run at second to end the inning.

Hunter Henderson doubled to left with one out before the Hansen RBI single. In the bottom of the inning, a pair of infield singles and a sacrifice bunt put runners at the corners, but Tinius got a ground out to first to end the game.
WT returns home to host New Mexico Highlands next weekend in a four game series beginning Friday at 6 p.m. at Wilder Park.
