SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE AT A GLANCE: The Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State will come into Tuesday's matchup looking for their first win of the season. They currently own a 0-4-1 record and are 0-2-1 on home turf. They began their season with a home loss to Minnesota State-Mankato and (1-0) home draw with Minot State (1-1) before three straight losses to Central Oklahoma (3-1), Midwestern State (3-0) and Oklahoma Baptist (2-1).

WT has never lost to SWOSU in 15 all-time meetings as it holds a 14-0-1 record against the Bulldogs. The Lady Buffs won the first 14 matches before a 1-1 draw in Canyon on Sept. 12, 2013.

WAYLAND BAPTIST REVISITED: After rescheduling early the afternoon of due to inclement weather in Plainview, the West Texas A&M women's soccer team hosted Wayland Baptist at The Pitch on Thursday evening. The Lady Buffs earned their second-straight victory with the 4-0 win over the Pioneers. They improved their record to 2-3. With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 0-6-1.

Senior defender Rhea Belgrave put the Lady Buffs on top with the game-winner in the 27th minute with her second goal of the season. The Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, native, took a free kick from about 27 yards outside the box on the left wing, beating Bailey Stengler in goal for the 1-0 advantage for the home team.

WT dominated on the stat sheet through the first 45 minutes of play, outshooting WBU 10-1 while seven of those attempts were on target. Leading the way for the home team were junior Haley Girard with four and senior Jessie Thomas with two. Karyn Forbes, Emily Krenek, Belgrave and Rachel Herring had one attempt each. WT also held the early advantage in corner kick opportunities, 3-0.

It was a quiet first 10 minutes to start the second frame at The Pitch while during that stretch, the Pioneers were able to grab their first shot-on-goal, ending with a save by WT freshman keeper McKynzie Zick. Then in the 55th minute, Krenek would find the net for her third score of the season. Forbes would send a long strike in from 30 yards outside the center of the box which bounced off the chest of Stengler. Krenek timed it perfectly trailing in for the easy chip-in. All three of Krenek's goals this season have been assisted by Forbes.

The Lady Buffs doubled their lead late in the final six minutes of the match. At the 84:40 mark, junior Taylor Laubhan took a corner on the left side and the ball took a bounce in front of the box. Players from each team attempted to get ahold of it before sophomore Ashlee Craig found the net for her first career score as a Lady Buff. Premac would then add to the lead in the final minute of play for her first score of the season, making the final decision 4-0.

The Lady Buffs held the final advantage in shots 16-4, and shots-on-goal, 11-1. Girard finished with four while Premac put up three attempts. Zick grabbed her second win of the season and her WT career as she picked up one save in the match.

DALLAS BAPTIST REVISITED: The Lady Buffs dropped a tough decision at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas on Saturday afternoon as they fell 1-0 to Dallas Baptist. The Lady Buffs surrendered an early second half goal in a contest where chances were few and far between for the home team. With the loss, the Lady Buffs fell to 2-4 on the season while the Patriots improved to 3-2-1.

After the first 45 minutes of action, the Patriots led WT in shots, 5-2, while the Lady Buffs would only have one attempt from both freshman Lucy Chalgren and Girard. Zick tallied three saves in that time.

Less than two minutes into the second half, the Patriots would find the deciding goal of the game. In a scramble near the top of the box, Annie Wells gathered the loose ball and beat Zick to give DBU the 1-0 advantage. It was her first goal of the season.

The Lady Buffs were outshot on Saturday, 13-4, and shots-on-goal, 7-3. Zick took the loss for WT as her record drops to 2-4. She tallied six saves in the contest.
