Head women's golf coach Meredith Jameson, formerly Meredith Easley, is now in her 21st season at West Texas A&M after taking over the reigns of the program prior to the 2005-06 season.  She has led WT to 39 team tournament victories and 37 individual wins from 18 different players. Jameson has coached the Lady Buffs to the NCAA Division II National Championship nine times in her career at West Texas A&M with 14 Regional Championship Appearances. Jameson has also coached two NCAA Division II National Championship individual qualifiers in 2014 and 2021, three NCAA Division II West Regional Team Champions (2017, 2023, 2024), and three NCAA Division II West Regional Individual Champions (2018, 2023, 2025).
 
During her tenure at West Texas A&M, Jameson has been named Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year five times (2008, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2023) with two Lone Star Conference titles (2019, 2023).  She has produced 17 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Americans, five LSC Conference Champions, and two LSC Academic Player of the Year. Jameson has seen her players earn Lone Star Conference all-league honors 56 times.
 
Academics are a high priority to Jameson. Under her coaching, the Women's Golf Coaches Association has named Lady Buffs to the All-America Scholar Team 51 times including six players on the Scholar Team in 2025 while the College Sports Communicators have honored one Lady Buff as an Academic All-American. The Lone Star Conference has placed Lady Buff golfers on the All-Academic team 22 times.  
 
In addition to her coaching duties, Jameson has served as the LSC Golf Coaches Chairmen twice, NCAA Regional Selection committee three times, NCAA Coaches Connection Committee in 2019, NCAA Division II Coaches Identity Work Workshop in 2019, WGCA Division II Coaches Poll representative since 2019, and a WGCA Mentorship Program member from 2020-2023 including being the lead member for 2023.  

The 2024-25 season saw Jameson guide WT to yet another nationally successful season. The Lady Buffs finished inside the top 10 of every tournament on the season including a win at the WT West Regional Preview and a first-place finish in stroke play at the 2025 Lone Star Conference Championships. As a team, the Lady Buffs finished the season as Scoreboard by Clippd's 11th-ranked team with an adjusted scoring average of 295.2 and a final WGCA ranking of 11th. Gam Songprasert and Sarah Reed earned First Team All-Conference accolades while Anna Nomrowski earned a spot on the second team. Antonella Periotti Omisolo was recognized as one of five LSC All-Academic honorees. At the NCAA West Regional in Amarillo, Jameson coached Nomrowski to the program's third individual regional champion as Nomrowski defeated Midwestern State's Brecklyn Flanagan, prevailing on the first playoff hole four strokes to five as the Lady Buffs to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the fourth consecutive season where WT's season came to an end, falling to Flagler 3-2. While at the NCAA National Championships, Periotti Omisolo became the first Lady Buff to win the NCAA's prestigious Elite 90 award for the highest cumulative GPA at the NCAA Championship. Songprasert finished her Lady Buff career with another WGCA First Team All-America award while Nomrowski earned Second Team All-America honors.

2024 saw Jameson take the Lady Buffs to the National Tournament once again. WT recorded wins at The Swan Memorial, WT Fall Invitational, Jack Brown Memorial, St. Mary's Rattler Invitational, RJGA Palm Valley Classic, and the 2024 West Regional Championship. Including the victories, the Lady Buffs finished in the top 10 of all 13 tournaments they played. At the St. Mary's Rattler Invitational, Lorenza Perini set a new tournament record, firing a final score of 208, while the Lady Buffs set a new team record of 870. Following the season, Anna Nomrowski and Lorenza Perini earned WGCA First Team All-American awards while Sarah Reed earned Honorable Mention honors. Antonella Periotti Omisolo made history for WT, becoming the first women's golfer to earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-American honors. As a team, the Lady Buffs posted a 3.914 GPA, the highest by any team in the Lone Star Conference and fourth highest in Division II.

Jameson guided the Lady Buffs on the national stage once again after a successful regular season, finishing as the third ranked team in Division II. WT won six tournaments including the WT Fall Invite, Jack Brown Memorial, St. Mary's Rattler Invitational, RJGA Palm Valley Classic, Lone Star Conference Championship, and NCAA West Regional. Including the victories, the Lady Buffs placed in the top 10 six times. WT finished the 2022-23 season with a 294 scoring average, ranking fifth in Division II and 70th among all collegiate programs. Alyssa Campbell (1st), Rylie Cook (HM), Lorenza Perini (HM), and Gam Songprasert (2nd) all earned WGCA All-America awards along with Songprasert earning the D2 Kim Moore Spirit Award. The Lady Buffs handled business in the classroom as well as the team registered its highest team GPA at 3.88, a mark that ranked fourth in Division II.

In 2018, the Lady Buffs had an historic and victory-filled season under Jameson’s guidance. Lady Buffs claimed the individual Lone Star Conference and NCAA West Regional Championships.  The team won the WT Fall Invite at Tascosa Golf Club and the WT Desert Invite at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ, as well as finishing in the top-3 finishes in 6 of 12 tournaments.  They finished the season with a 7th place finish at the NCAA DII National Championship, WT’s second highest finish in school history.  The team set the WT record for the all-time low tournament score three times—Mustang Intercollegiate—583, WT Fall Invite—581, LSC Championship—581.  Other WT records set this season include the lowest single round team score (285), the most birdies in a season—276, and team season stroke average—302.19.  
 
The 2016-17 season included several historic finishes.  The Lady Buffs finished in the top-5 in all but one event. WT started the season strong with a win at the first tournament of the season in Colorado.  The team finished 2nd at the Lone Star Conference Championship.  The Lady Buffs won the NCAA DII Regional Championship for the first time in program history shooting 297, 294, 306.  At the NCAA DII National Championship,  the team took 4th place, the highest finish in program history.  Freshman Holly Winter earned WGCA All American honors for her 9th place finish at the National Championship, which was the highest finish in program history.  The Lady Buffs finished the season with a scoring average of 307.15 per round.

In 2015-16 the Lady Buffs qualified for its 2nd  NCAA DII National Championship team appearance.  The team recorded a 307.77 stroked average for the season. In the fall WT won their home event shooting 304, 293. The team finished in the top-3 four other times, including placing third in the LSC Conference Championship: 299,299, and NCAA DII Regional Championship:  298, 286, 306.    

2014-15 was a solid year on the course and in the classroom for the Lady Buffs.  The team qualified for the NCAA Regional Championship, finishing T4 and missing a berth in the NCAA National Championships by one spot.  Ending the year ranked 20th in the nation, the Lady Buffs were in contention to win all season long. Out of 10 regular season tournaments, WT placed 2nd in five, including the LSC Conference Championship. The team concluded the season with a stroke average of 309.3 per round. 
 
Lady Buff golfers earned numerous accolades including four LSC Conference Player of the Week awards.  Junior, Glory Jangthongsiri, earned WGCA Honorable Mention All American honors.  Glory Jangthonsiri and Whitlee Woods were named to the LSC All Conference first and second teams, respectively.  Academically, Judy Papenfus was named as the Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year, a first for a Lady Buff golfer. 
 
The 2013-14 season concluded at the NCAA National Championships, where Sophomore Glory Jangthongsiri finished tied for 31st.  The team finished 5th at the NCAA West Regional Championship and 2nd at the LSC Championship. 
 
In 2012-13 WT was represented at the NCAA West Regional Championship by freshman, Glory Jangthongsiri.  Although she narrowly missed a national berth, she became the first Lady Buff to win the Lone Star Conference Championship. 
 
The 2011-12 season was one of the Lady Buffs most successful in school history.  The team made history by winning three of its ten tournaments, more than any other Lady Buff team in a single season. The team posted a sixth place finish at the NCAA Region 4 Championship. In addition, WTAMU's Golfstat score vs. par ranking was the 11th best in Division II. The team ended the season with a 311 scoring average.
 
During 2010, the Lady Buffs finished in fourth place at the NCAA Southwest Regional 4 tournament, falling just two strokes short of qualifying for the NCAA National Tournament.
 
In 2009, Jameson guided the Lady Buffs to a top-10 finish at the NCAA Division II Golf Championships. The program earned a trip to the national event after posting a second-place finish in the West Region.

Jameson began her collegiate golf career at Texas Christian University in the fall of 2001, before transferring to West Texas A&M in the spring of 2003. The Amarillo native earned NGCA All-America accolades three times, being named to the 2nd team in 2003 and 2004, as well as the honorable mention team in 2005. Jameson was a three time first team All-LSC and All-Academic Team selection honoree. Jameson also received national recognition for her work in the classroom, garnering a spot as a National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholar selection and a place on ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-District VI Team. In addition, Jameson was named the LSC Scholar Athlete-Award winner in 2005. During her WTAMU career, Jameson was a three-time NCAA Division II West Regional Qualifier. She also claimed a spot in the field for the Division II National Championship in the spring of 2003, where she posted an 11th place finish. As a senior Jameson earned her second trip to the National Championships in 2005. During her time in Canyon, she notched 25 Top-10 finishes in 29 career events. Jameson graduated from West Texas A&M in the spring of 2005 with a degree in history and, in December 2009, she earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

Jameson and her husband, Jimmy (a graduate of West Texas A&M and Buff golfer), are the parents of two sons, Scott and Hogan, and a daughter, Marlo. The Jameson's reside in Amarillo.
