Madison Johnson is now in her second season as a Graduate Assistant for West Texas A&M Softball. She joined the WT coaching staff in the Spring of 2025 following a standout career for the Lady Buffs.

Johnson hit .307 as a Lady Buff with 41 doubles, seven triples and 29 homeruns to drive in 144 RBI with a slugging percentage of .540. The Flower Mound, Texas product saw time in 205 games with 188 starts in Maroon & White as she was a Third Team All-Lone Star Conference selection during her junior campaign.

She was an integral part of West Texas A&M’s run to the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship, earning All-Tournament Team accolades at both the Lone Star Conference Championships and the NCAA DII College World Series in Denver, Colorado. Johnson was named the 2021 LSC Championship Most Valuable Player, leading the Lady Buffs to their fifth tournament crown.
