Luke Holcombe enters his first season as an Assistant Coach with West Texas A&M Track & Field ahead of the 2026-27 season. Holcombe will be working with the throwers. 

A decorated student-athlete at West Texas A&M University, Holcombe concluded his collegiate career as a five-time NCAA Division II National Qualifier and the current WTAMU indoor and outdoor school record holder in the shot put. During his time as a Buffalo, he earned four USTFCCCA All-Region honors and 12 Lone Star Conference medals, including seven First Team selections. Holcombe was also named the 2024 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Outstanding Field Athlete, receiving the Oscar Strahan Award in recognition of his accomplishments.

Holcombe earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University. He served as a volunteer assistant coach with the WTAMU track and field program during the 2025-26 season, primarily working with the program’s multi-event athletes in the throwing events. Holcombe is also a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.
