Josh Roberson arrived at West Texas A&M on August 4, 2025 to serve as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Championship Integrity & Student-Athlete Excellence.
In this role, he provides strategic leadership in the areas of compliance, Name, Image & Likeness (NIL), and student-athlete success.
Roberson brings a strong background in athletics administration, most recently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance at Wayne State University in Detroit. While at WSU, he led compliance efforts for 17 NCAA sports and over 400 student-athletes, and directed the university’s NIL programming. His previous stops include Davenport University, the University of Denver, and Wyoming Public Schools, where he held various leadership positions focused on compliance, youth sports, and athletic programming.
A former student-athlete himself, Roberson played two seasons of college basketball at Grand Valley State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Leadership. He also holds a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University.
Roberson and his wife, Caliyah, have two children, Jireh and Nissi.
