Isaac Bentrott enters his first year as the Assistant Director for Communications at West Texas A&M after joining the staff in July of 2026. Bentrott is the primary contact for Men's and Women's Soccer, Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's Basketball, and Men's Golf.
Prior to WT, Bentrott served as the Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. He was the working SID for five programs including Men's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball, Wrestling, and Women's Tennis. No stranger to success, Bentrott covered 11 All-Americans, 27 All-NSIC honorees, three conference championships, one region championship, and two top six national finishes during his time with Huskies Athletics. He oversaw three nationally ranked programs including the number one ranked St. Cloud State Wrestling program in 2024-25 that finished third nationally. Bentrott would also lead the publicity on a plethora of notable athletes and coaches including the first All-American in SCSU Men's Soccer history in Philip Caputo, two-time wrestling National Runner-Up Joel Jesuroga, Division II Wrestling Hall of Fame Coach Steve Costanzo, 2025-26 Men's Basketball NSIC Defensive Player of the Year Wyatt Hawks, and 2025-26 NSIC Coach of the Year Quincy Henderson. Across social media, Bentrott played a key role in increasing follower counts on all five programs by a total of 6,084 followers which led to 29.4% growth.Â
Before becoming a GA, Bentrott was an External Operations Intern at SCSU for two years where he worked closely with the Women's Tennis program while conducting live stats for Men's and Women's Hockey, Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, and Volleyball. In 2023-24, Bentrott would cover St. Cloud State Wrestling as they won a region championship in Minot, N.D. and placed fifth at nationals in Wichita, K.S behind six All-Americans.Â
A native of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, Bentrott graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 2020 where he played basketball and baseball for three years prior to Covid-19. He graduated from St. Cloud State in 2024 with his B.S in Sports and Recreational Managment where he earned Magna Cum Laude honors. In 2026, he would again graduate from St. Cloud State with his M.S. in Strategic Media Communications.Â
