Brittany Harry was named the 16th head coach in Lady Buff Volleyball history on March 19, 2024.

Harry, the 2022 Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year, was the head coach at Texas A&M International for the past four seasons, serving as the architect behind the growth of the TAMIU program. In 2022, Harry set a program record with 23 victories to lead the Dustdevils into the Lone Star Conference postseason for the second time in school history. She led her team to the best turnaround in all of NCAA Division II volleyball with a +18 win differential from 2021 to 2022.

In the spring 2021 season, Harry’s team qualified for the LSC Championships for the first time in 10 years and the first time since joining the LSC. 14 Dustdevils earned LSC All-Conference honors under Harry’s provision as well as the conference’s Freshman of the Year, a spot on the All-Freshman team, the Lone Star Conference Setter of the Year and four All-Academic selections. She added her own Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year honor in 2022. In addition to athletic achievement, Harry’s teams have been awarded the AVCA Academic award three years running. 

Prior to TAMIU, Harry was the head coach of NJCAA Division I Laredo College. She put together an 84-65 record and coached 18 players to NJCAA All-Region 14 honors including 2019 Region 14 Libero of the Year. She also worked to build recruiting networks internationally and domestically.  

Harry spent three seasons as the head coach at Vincennes University from 2011-2014.  She led her teams to an 88-38 record, and she coached four players to All-Region 12 honors and two players to the Region 12 All-Tournament team.

She began her head coaching career at Spartanburg Methodist College as one of the youngest head coaches in collegiate volleyball at the age of 23. She spent two seasons leading the program and logged a 49-12 record. While there, her teams made back-to-back appearances at the NJCAA Division I Championships in Council Bluffs, IA. She was named the District K Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2008 and was named the Region 10 Coach of the Year in 2008. She also coached the 2008 Region 10 Player of the Year as well as four All-Region 10 players, six Region 10 All-Tournament players and two Region 10 Tournament MVPs.

Harry has also spent time as a volunteer assistant at NCAA Division I Butler University and at her alma mater, the University of South Carolina Upstate.

She has amassed a career record of 284-173 (.620 winning percentage) in her 15-year head coaching career.

The Champaign, Illinois native earned her bachelor’s degree in communication-journalism from the University of South Carolina Upstate where she was also a member of the volleyball team from 2002-2005. She’s pursuing her Master of Sports Administration from Concordia University Irvine. She has one daughter, Melia (13).
