Previous School: Golden spent two years at Alaska-Anchorage (Alaska) where she played on the right side for the Seawolves under head coach Chris Green. Golden redshirted at UAA during the 2009 season followed by her junior campaign in 2010 where she ranked third on team in kills per set, helping the Seawolves to an 18-9 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA postseason.

Previous School: Before her time at UAA, Golden Played two seasons at Hillsborough CC (Florida), helping the Hawks to consecutive National Tournament berths. As a sophomore in 2008, she earned honorable mention All-Conference honors as HCC went 34-9 and finished eighth at the NJCAA National Tournament, Golden helped the Hawks go unbeaten in Suncoast Conference play and win the Florida State Junior College title.

High School: Golden registered a standout four year prep career at Nova HS (Florida) where she played on the outside for the Titans under head coach LeeAnn Rovetto. She was a 2^nd Team All-State selection as a senior while also picking up Team MVP honors. She also excelled on the track where she was a 4x400m Relay State Qualifier.
