2011: Hayes proved to be one of the best setters in the South Central Region as a junior in 2011 for the Lady Buffs, registering a LSC leading 1,476 assists for an average of 11.53 per set to go along with 341 digs and 93 total blocks. Hayes was named the LSC Setter of the Year as well as picking up AVCA and Daktronics All-Region accolades and a spot on the AVCA All-American 2^nd Team.

Previous School: Hayes played two seasons at Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) member Clemson before coming to West Texas A&M. While at Clemson, Hayes played in 32 total matches for the Tigers where she posted 67 kills, 471 assists, more than 100 digs and 40 total blocks.

High School: Hayes had an outstanding prep career while playing at Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas, before moving to Cy-Fair High School in Houston, Texas, her senior year. She was a second team all-district honoree in 2005 before being named to the first team in 2006 while at Clements. She earned first team honors again in 2007 as a senior at Cy-Fair and was an all-state selection as well. She helped lead Cy-Fair to the State Semifinals back in 2007 and guided Clements to an appearance in the State Quarterfinals.
