Biography

2019 (Senior):
Appeared in 45 games including 44 starts during her final season in Maroon & White hitting .338 with seven doubles, one triple and seven home runs for 28 RBI for a slugging percentage of .554 with 22 walks for an on-base percentage of .429. Also recorded 32 putouts and 60 assists with eight errors for a .920 fielding percentage. Earned Second Team All-Lone Star Conference accolades for her work on the field. The Katy, Texas native finished her career with the eight-most at-bats (605), ninth-most hits (206) and 10thmost home runs in program history. 
 
In the circle, she made 12 appearances including two starts for a record of 2-3 with two saves allowing 18 runs (11 earned) on 31 hits and 12 strikeouts with opposing teams hitting .307 off the right-hander. 

2018 (Junior):
The Katy product registered another great season for the Lady Buffs during her junior campaign in 2018, starting all 53 games for WT with 47 coming at third base. Coveney hit .323 on the season with four doubles, four triples and eight homeruns to drive in 42 RBI with 87 total bases for a slugging percentage of .551. She led the team with 27 walks and nine hit-by-pitches for an on-base clip of .442 while stealing five bases. Defensively, Coveney registered 40 putouts and 89 assists with just five errors for a fielding percentage of .963. She earned D2CCA Second Team All-South Central Region for her efforts on the diamond.

In the circle, Coveney made five appearances with a 0.81 ERA as she tossed 8.2 inning for a record of 1-0, allowing 18 runs (one earned) on 17 hits with four strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .362. She was named to the All-Lone Star Conference Second Team for her efforts on the diamond.

2017 (Sophomore):

Coveney, a 1st Team All-Lone Star Conference selection, was a staple near the top of the lineup for the Lady Buffs as a sophomore in 2017. The team captain hit .333 on the season with nine doubles, two triples and nine homeruns to drive in 33 RBI with 92 total bases for a slugging percentage of .590 to go along with 29 walks for an on-base clip of .439. Coveney was named a First Team D2CCA All-South Central Region selection for the Lady Buffs.

2016 (Freshman):
Coveney had a breakout true freshman campaign for the Lady Buffs in 2016 as the Houston product hit .368 with 14 doubles, two triples and six homeruns to drive in 40 RBI for a slugging percentage of .605 while registering 23 walks for an on-base clip of .473. She saw time in 58 games with 55 starts between left field and second base as she tallied 65 putouts and 51 assists with 11 errors for a fielding percentage of .913. The Katy graduate had a career day on February 21 as she went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a triple to drive in a career high five RBI and score a pair of runs in a 18-2 win over Newman. She was named to the All-Lone Star Conference Third Team for her efforts on the diamond.
 
At Katy High School:
Coveney came to Canyon following an impressive prep career at Katy High School (Texas) where she led the Tigers to the 2015 Texas Class 6A State Championship as a senior, pitching and playing in the infield for head coach Kalum Haack and former Lady Buff standout Meghan Brown. Coveney was named the Texas Sports Writer's Association (TWSA) Class 6A Player of the Year for the Tigers as they finished the season with an overall record of 36-6, she was named the District 19-6A Most Valuable Player while picking up the Houston Chronicle Hitter of the Year award.
 
Personal:
Born April 5th. Coveney is the daughter of BJ and Kim Coveney and she has one brother, Bryce. She is a Pre-Med major at West Texas A&M.
