2012: Strother became a go-to off of the WT bench during her junior campaign for the Lady Buffs in 2012. She saw time in eight sets for the Lady Buffs in 2012, registering two kills to go along with five digs. Strother stepped into the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Semifinal match against #12 Colorado School of Mines when teammate Stormi Lancaster suffered an injury, the junior played well in relief and WT went on to win the match in four sets on their way to the Elite Eight.

Previous School: Before coming to West Texas A&M, Strother attended Cisco Junior College (Texas) and played for the Wranglers under the guidance of head coach Susan Moore. Strother was an all-conference and all-region performer while at CJC.

High School: Strother graduated from New Caney HS (Texas) in 2010, playing numerous positions for the Eagles under head coach Chrissy Engle. She was a two time all-district selection on the volleyball court while also lettering in basketball and softball at NCHS. Strother also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the National Honor Society.
