2019: Finished her career as one of three Lady Buffs to have ever played over 6,000 career minutes. She appeared in 16 games including 14 starts in her final season in Canyon scoring one goal in 1,132 minutes on the pitch. She scored from the penalty spot against Adams State on Sept. 14. She was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament team after playing all 90 minutes in WT’s quarterfinal loss to Texas Woman’s.
2018: 2nd Team All-Lone Star Conference. Started in 21 games logging a career-high 1,829 minutes while scoring a pair of goals for a total of four points with 18 shots, 8 of those on-target. She scored her first goal of the season in the final minutes of WT’s 1-0 win over Fort Lewis on Sept. 9. Converted her first career penalty kick in a 2-1 win over Texas A&M-Commerce on Oct. 19. Recorded a season-high two shots in five games.
2017: One of three Lady Buffs to start all 23 games. Logged 1,916 minutes. Had one goal with one assist for three points. Recorded seven shots with two on frame. Scored her goal in a 1-1 tie against Texas Woman's (9/22). Recorded her assist in a 1-1 tie against New Mexico Highlands (9/7). Recorded a season-high two shots at Texas Woman's (10/22).
2016: Had an impressive freshman campaign where she started in 17 of 18 matches while tallying 1,183 minutes for the Lady Buffs. She recorded three shots and one shot on goal playing in the midfield. She played a career-high 90 minutes in four different matches in 2016.
High School: Graduated from Grapevine High School in Grapevine, Texas in 2016 where she played center midfielder and center back for the Mustangs. Taylor earned Midfield MVP and Defensive MVP honors as a senior while the Mustangs finished the season with a 23-1 record and were state finalists. She also earned the “G” award which is given to the most outstanding athlete in their respective sport. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was named to the all-academic team four times.
Personal: Born on February 17, 1998. Daughter of Mark and Karen Taylor. Has one sister, Jessica. Majoring in criminal justice at West Texas A&M University.
