Biography
Career: Chalgren has started in 45 of the 48 matches she has played at WT logging 3,878 minutes in her three-year career. She has scored three goals, two of which are game-winners, on 47 shots. She was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic team as a sophomore.
2016: Appeared and started in 15 matches logging 1,268 minutes for the Lady Buffs. She started the season in midfielder before moving to center back where she generated seven shots, two of which were on goal. She was part of a backline that produced four shutouts while playing a full 90 minutes in 10 matches throughout the season.
2015: Played in 18 matches while starting 14 and logging 1,286 minutes. Scored two goals including the game-winner against #4 Angelo State in the LSC semifinals. Recorded 16 shots, six of which were on target. Named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic team.
2014: Chalgren saw time in 17 matches and made 16 starts for the Lady Buffs in her strong freshman season. She was a LSC Second-Team All-Conference selection as a midfielder and scored one goal, a thrilling game-winner against Midwestern State at home with just 76 seconds left in regulation to break the tie on Oct. 12. She saw 1,324 minutes on the field, tied for the second-most on the team. Forced 24 shots, seven of them being on-goal.
High School: Played midfield and center-back for the Storm under head coach Gregory Rusk…Member of four state-qualifying teams, including two state semi-finalist teams…Earned second-team all-state honors as a senior…Team captain and first-team all-district junior and senior seasons…Named academic all-district for three seasons…Also competed in basketball for the Storm.
Personal: Born March 20…Daughter of Tom and Sue Chalgren and has two siblings Logan and Lilly…Plans to major in wildlife biology at West Texas A&M.
