2013: Played in 18 matches while starting four in her sophomore season. Logged 589 minutes and registered one assist. Took three shots, placing one on target.

Otero Junior College: Played at Otero Junior College in 2012 where she helped her team to be ranked 11th in the nation and 2nd in the region. She earned the Rising Star Award and was named on the Presidents Honor Roll.

High School: Graduated from Sabino High School (AZ) in 2012. While playing for Sabino, she was coached under Brenda Lowery and helped her team to State Championship runner-ups in 2009 and 2011. She was awarded the Presidents Award for Educational Excellence and Character Counts Award.

Personal: Born March 30, 1994. Connel is the daughter of Tim and Diane Connel and Tom McKinney and has one sibling, Tyler Connel. She is majoring in business administration from West Texas A&M.
