Biography
2009: Kitchens suffered a season ending injury during the preseason.
2008: Kitchens was an asset to the Lady Buffs during her junior season, seeing time in 20 contests and scoring eight goals while registering two assists for a total of 18 points. She had one game-winning goal while taking 42 shots for a .190 shooting percentage, putting 64.3 of her shots on goal.
2007: Kitchens appeared in all 21 matches as a sophomore, scoring seven goals and racking up 19 points. She scored two goals and tallied two assists in the Lady Buffs second game of the season in a 7-1 victory over Adams State.
2006: Kitchens saw action in 16 matches for WT in 2007, starting five. She tied for third on the team in goals with eight, which also tied her for sixth in the Lone Star Conference with teammate Samantha Calcote. She placed seventh in the LSC in points per game (1.27) and goals per game (.053). On the season, Kitchens had two assists, 19 points and 38 shots, and her eight goals placed her eighth on WTAMU[apos]s all-time single-season goals list.
High School: Kitchens graduated from Lubbock (Texas) Coronado HS, and was named first team all-district while scoring 24 career goals for the Lady Mustangs. She was selected Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, and was named Conference Tournament MVP for three consecutive seasons.
Personal: Kitchens is the daughter of Mike and Teresa Kitchens, and has two siblings: Summer and Brandon. She is a Sports and Exercise Science major at WTAMU.
