Career: Steele will finish her four-year career having played in 70 matches with 61 starts for over 5,500 minutes. She played 1,000 or more minutes in all of her four seasons in Canyon including a team-high 1,798 as a junior. She scored three goals and two assists for a total of eight points.

2016: Appeared in 17 matches with 14 starts while logging 1,208 minutes as a midfielder for the Lady Buffs. She finished the season with three goals and one assist for seven points on a career-high 28 shots and .357 shot on goal percentage. She scored her first career game winning goal in WT’s 2-0 victory over Texas Woman’s on Oct. 23 at The Pitch. She recorded a career-high six shots against Southern Nazarene on Sept. 17.

2015: Named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament team after helping the Lady Buffs reach the championship match. Played in 21 matches, starting 19 while logging a team-high 1,798 minutes. Produced four shots, one of which was on goal. Was part of the backline that produced seven shutouts.

2014: Played in 15 matches while receiving the starting nod in 14 of them. Logged 1,153 minutes on the pitch and eight shots, five of them being shots on goal. Helped the Lady Buff backline to five shutous on the season.

2013: Made an immediate impact for the Lady Buffs as a true freshman. Played in 17 matches with 14 starts, originally at midfield. Was switched to defense after other teammates went down with injuries and helped the team to eight shutouts on the year. Logged 1,290 minutes on the pitch. Took 10 shots with five of those being on target.

High School: Graduated from Andrews High School, TX in 2013. Her high school did not have a soccer team, but she was a three year letter winner in basketball and track. She was named District New Comer of the Year and First Team Al-District in basketball. She was a part of the North Texas 94 ODP State team and 95 State Team.

Personal: Steele is the daughter of Dale and Kim Steele and has one sibling, Matthew. Is majoring in Sport and Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
