West Texas A&M University Athletics

Career: Appeared in 78 matches while starting 70 in 5,336 minutes of action. Scored six goals, including one game-winner, and tallied four assists for 16 career points. Taken 70 shots with 31 of them being on-goal.

2015: Played in 20 matches including 16 starts while logging 1,265 minutes. Scored a career-high four goals including two against Eastern New Mexico on Senior Night. Finished the season with nine points which was ranked third on the team. Record 28 shots, 12 of which were on target.

2014: Girard played in and started all 18 matches during her junior season. She saw 1,324 minutes on the pitch, tied for the second-most on the team. Girard scored her second career goal on Sept. 22 in a 3-0 shutout victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State. She had 19 shots, with 11 of them being on target for a .579 SOG%. Girard was a LSC Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.

2013: Played in and started 19 games in her sophomore season. Logged 1,567 minutes while rotating between midfield and the defensive end, helping lead the Lady Buffs to eight shutouts. Registered two assists on the season, both coming in wins in the final two crucial games of the regular season, helping the Lady Buffs make a late push into the LSC Tournament. Took 13 shots, placing five of them on target.

2012: As a true freshman she played in all 21 games while starting in 17. Scored her first collegiate goal against Texas Woman’s University, which was also her first game winning goal. Took 10 shots with 3 on goal while playing 1174 minutes. 

High School: Prepped at Randall High School where her team went 15-3-1 as a senior finishing in district play.  She earned first team all-district honors and was named team Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior.  She was named honorable mention as a sophomore.  Academically, she was a Superintendent Scholar as a freshman and a senior.  Girard also earned Student of the Month honors.

Personal: Daughter of Tony and Ann Girard.  Has one sibling, Claire.  Plans on majoring in pre-med at West Texas A&M.
