Biography

Career: Played in 75 games with 74 starts for WT. Scored a total of eight goals and tallied eight assists. Took a total of 61 shots, 36 of them on target, for a .590 SOG percentage and scored four game-winning goals. She has accumulated 6,656 minutes of play. 

2013: Watson’s leadership was a steady constant on the Lady Buffs’ squad as she did whatever was asked of her in her final season, switching positions three times throughout the course of the year. Played in 16 games with 15 starts in 1,318 minutes of action. Recorded two goals, including one game-winner, and two assists for six points on the year. Took 20 shots, placing 10 of them on target. The team-captain provided the game-winning goal in WT’s first LSC match, a 1-0 overtime victory over Texas Woman’s in Canyon. After playing a majority of the season on the defensive end, Watson moved up to left midfield for three games before playing the final two matches on the right side. She tallied a goal and two assists in WT’s final two games to lead the team to its 17th LSC Tournament appearance. Named LSC Second-Team All-Conference, LSC All-Academic and CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-District.

2012: As a junior, she played and started in 21 games. Took 11 shots, 9 shots on goal with a .818 shots on goal percentage. Scored an unassisted goal against Angelo State. Played 90 minutes plus in 15 of 21 games. Was named to the LSC All-Academic Team. 

2011: Played and started all 20 games last year as a sophomore.  Earned second team all-conference honors.  Had three goals to go along with 15 shots and nine on goal.  Tallied the game winner in a 1-0 win over New Mexico Highlands (Sept. 11).  Logged a team-high 1782 minutes.

2010: Berklee started in all 18 matches for the Lady Buffs in her freshman campaign. She scored a pair of goals on the season and had two assists as well for a total of six points. She had eight of her 15 shots on-goal for a .533 SOG percentage. Berklee tallied one game-winning goal in 2010.

High School:  During her rookie season as an Amarillo High Sandie, Watson was named second team all-district and found a spot in the varsity lineup.  She was named to the first team all-district both her sophomore and junior years while a member of the Sandie’s soccer team.  The 5’7” Watson helped her team to a record of 23-1 in 2009 and also lettered her senior year in cross country.  Watson excelled in the classroom as well being named a Superintendent Scholar all four years and was also a member of the National Honor Society.

 Personal:  Watson is the daughter of Linda and Matt Watson and has two siblings:  Skylar and Bradley. She is majoring in social work at West Texas A&M.
