Biography

Coach Jameson’s Take:  I am excited to see what Kaylin will achieve this year as our lone senior. She is one of the best ball strikers and longest hitters our team has ever had.  Kaylin battled through wrist issues her first two years as a Lady Buff, but those challenges have helped mold her into a true competitor who fights for what she wants. 

2018-19: Earned 2ndTeam All-Lone Star Conference honors after helping the Lady Buffs to their fourth straight NCAA Championship appearance. Competed in all 12 events for a scoring average of 75.96. Had one of the best tournaments of her career at the NCAA Division II Championships where she finished 11thwith a 56-hole total of 228 to lead WT to a 10thplace finish.  Opened her senior season with a Top-10 finish at the Otter Fall Invite where she was tied for ninth after rounds of 72 and 81. Finished 26that the DBU Texas-Oklahoma Matchup with a 54-hole total of 228. Recorded her second Top-10 finish of the season at the WT Fall Invitational after rounds of 75 and 74 to finish tied for eighth. Following a 32ndplace at the NCAA DII National Preview, she finished the fall season with an 11thplace finish at the Skyhawk Fall Intercollegiate with a 36-hole total of 150. Opened the spring season with a seventh-place finish at the Rattler Invitational while finishing fifth at the El Cheapo Classic with a 36-hole total of 145. After a pair of Top-20 finishes at the Mustang Intercollegiate and WT Desert Invite, she recorded a runner-up finish at the LSC Championships with rounds of 72 and 71 en route to helping the Lady Buffs to their first conference title. Recorded a 41stplace finish at the NCAA DII West Regional at the Amarillo Country Club with a 56-hole total of 236.

2017-18: Helped lead her WT to its third straight NCAA Championship appearance.   Finished in the top 10 three times.  Sitting in 5th place for WT’s record of most career birdies at 115, recording 56 this season. Named as LSC Player of Week. Top finish came at WT’s Desert Invite at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, where she placed 3rd shooting 73, 75.  Fired her low tournament total at WT’s Fall Invite at Tascosa Golf Club shooting 71-74.

2016-17: Instrumental player in the team qualifying for the NCAA DII National Championship for the second straight year.  Low tournament score came at the Mustang Intercollegiate, where she finished T22 shooting 74, 75.  Top finish came at WT’s home event, where she placed T10 shooting 77, 78.

2015-16: Kaylin’s top finish came at WT’s home event shooting 77, 74 to take 7th.  After an injury sidelined her for the majority of the spring semester, Kaylin returned to action for the NCAA DII Regional Championship, shooting 77, 75, 78 to help the team qualify for the NCAA DII National Championship.
 
High School: Numerous individual victories on junior golf tours in Texas. Won four high school tournaments her senior season.   Fired 80-74 at regionals as a senior. District Champion 11-6A. 
 
Personal: Daughter of Roger and Katie Milholland. Has one brother, Chad. Plans on majoring in Business at West Texas A&M.
