Freshman (2015/16)

    Cross Country: As a freshman, she placed in the top-25 during four races during the season including the Border Classic (4k), Buffalo Stampede (6k), NMJC Cross Country Open (5k) and LSC Championships (6k). She was the top finishers for the Lady Buffs at the NCAA South Central Regional running a personal-best time of 23:43.2 on the 6k course.  

High School: Graduated from PSJA Memorial High School in 2015 where she ran cross country and track & field for the Wolverines under head coach Rudy Lopez.  She was a three-time regional qualifier in cross country and was twice named team MVP. Ovalle also earned Academic All-State honors with the Wolverines. She also lettered two years in soccer. Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Hometown is Alamo, Texas. Daughter of Rosendo and Teresa Ovalle. Has two brothers, Timothy and Mark. Majoring in psychology at West Texas A&M.
