2014-15 Season Stats

Career: Madison McLain has played in 62 games with 32 starts - all starts coming in 2014-15.  She is 116 of 293 from the field for a .396 clip.  McLain has buried 69 triples in 171 attempts for a .404 average and is 30 of 45 from the line for a .667 average.  She has pulled down 129 rebounds (2.1) and has 89 assists, nine blocks and 56 steals.  She has scored 331 points for a 5.3 average.  She has led the team in scoring once, assists seven times, steals six times, blocks seven times and has one game of over 20 points.  McLain has scored in double figures 10 times. 

2014-15: Played in all 33 games with 32 starts.  Went 91 of 233 from the field for a .391 average.  She was second on the team in made triples with 51, going 51 of 133 for a .383 average.  McLain was 25 of 37 from the line (.676) and averaged 2.8 rebounds per game.  She was third on the team in assists with 81 and second in steals with 47.  McLain earned honorable mention all-conference honors.  She scored a career-high 22 points against Northwest Nazarene (12/19/14) in her breakout game of the season, going 8 of 15 from the field and 6 of 11 from beyond the arc.  Was named to the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic All-Tournament Team for her efforts against NNU and earned LSC Defensive Player of the Week honors (12/22/14).  McLain led the team in scoring once, assists seven times, steals six times, blocks, six times and tallied one game of over 20 points.  She had nine games in double figures on the year. 

2013-14: Played in 29 games in her first season in a Lady Buff uniform.  Went 25 of 60 from the field (.417) and 18 of 38 from beyond the arc (.474).  Was 5 of 8 from the line and averaged 1.3 rebounds per game.  Had eight assists with one block and nine steals while averaging 2.5 points per game and 75 points total.  Averaged 6.9 minutes per game.  Scored a WT career-high 12 points against Incarnate Word (11/29) going 4 of 7 from beyond the arc for her best outing of the season. 

Seward County CC: Attended Seward County CC in Liberal, Kansas, for one year and played for head coach Toby Wynn.  Earned honorable mention all-America honors.  Averaged 13.9 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting 33 percent from the field, 27 percent from beyond the arc and 74 percent from the line.  Helped lead the team to a 20-11 record.

Gruver High School: Helped lead the team to a 33-4 record as a senior earning all-state honors and was named district MVP as she averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and three assists per game.  As a junior, she earned all-state accolades and was disctrict MVP again.  She was a three-time Academic All-State selection in basketball and she helped lead her team to a cross country state title and a track regional championship in the 400m.  Was National Honor Society Vice President and Class President. 

Personal: Born April 29, 1994.  Parents are Mack and Carrie McLain.  Has one sibling Mason.  Plans on majoring in biology with a minor in psychology at WT.
