Biography

2014: Cranfill had another huge season for the Lady Buffs in 2014 as she was a key factor in the team’s run to the DII National Championship, starting all 67 contests at first base. The Frisco product hit .361 with 18 doubles, two triples and 19 homeruns to drive in 79 RBI for a slugging percentage of .768 while walking 30 times for an on-base percentage of .459. Cranfill remained as one of the most feared power hitters in all of Division II as she ran her career homerun total to 49 to move just seven long balls shy of the WT career record (Kim LeComte, 56). She was a key force in the run to the DII National Championship, hitting .355 during the postseason with three doubles and two homeruns to drive in 12 RBI for a slugging percentage of .645. Cranfill was honored for her efforts on the diamond as a member of the All-Lone Star Conference 1st Team as well as the league’s Golden Glove team and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-South Central Region squad. She also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the LSC All-Academic Team and the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2013: Cranfill continued to put up big numbers for the Lady Buffs during her sophomore campaign in 2013, hitting .276 with four doubles, two triples and 11 homeruns to drive in 47 RBI. The Frisco native registered a slugging percentage of .559 while walking 42 times for an on-base percentage of .449. One of the top first baseman in the Lone Star Conference, Cranfill registered a fielding percentage of .989 with seven assists and a team leading 434 assists. Cranfill also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2012: Cranfill became one of the most feared hitters in all of NCAA Division II softball as a true freshman on 2012, seeing time in 49 games with 48 starts for the Lady Buffs. Cranfill hit .352 with eight doubles, two triples and 19 homeruns to drive in a incredible 55 RBI for a slugging percentage of .891 which ranks the highest in WT history for slugging percentage in a season. In the field, Cranfill registered a .988 fielding percentage at first base with a team leading 410 putouts and five assists. Cranfill rolled through the Lone Star Conference schedule with a .412 batting average with 13 HR and 36 RBI to be named the LSC Freshman of the Year as well as a member of the All-LSC First Team and a winner of the first annual LSC Golden Glove Award for her efforts at first base. The freshman also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

High School: Cranfill graduated from Frisco Centennial HS (Texas) in 2011 and played in the infield for the Titans under head coach Mike Dyson. She led the team to the Texas 4A Regional Finals as a senior, being named the District 9-4A Offensive Player of the Year as well as a First Team All-Area Selection. Cranfill also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the Academic All-District team as a freshman.

Major: Cranfill is an Elementary Education major at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Cranfill is the daughter of Roy and Sharla Cranfill and has one brother, Gavin.
