Biography

2014: Wilkinson was a key role in WT’s run to the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship as the junior outfielder started 66 of 67 games in center field while hitting in the two-hole, hitting .365 with 11 doubles and three triples to drive in 22 RBI while walking 30 times for an on-base percentage of .462. The Idaho native led the team in stolen bases as she stole 35 on 41 attempts while registering 67 putouts and three assists in center for an fielding percentage of .946. Wilkinson hit .343 during the postseason with five runs batted in, during the College World Series the junior hit .273 while stealing two bases and scoring four runs as WT claimed the program’s first ever national title. For her efforts on the diamond she was named a 3rd Team All-Lone Star Conference selection while also excelling in the classroom as a member of the 2013-14 LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Previous School: Wilkinson came to Canyon in the fall of 2014 following an impressive two year career at the College of Southern Idaho (Idaho) where she played centerfield for the Golden Eagles under head coach Nick Baumert. Wilkinson led the Golden Eagles to the Scenic West Athletic Conference Championship in 2013, hitting .345 with 49 runs scored and 26 RBI while walking 32 times and stealing 16 of 17 attempted bases. In 2012, Wilkinson hit .387 with 57 runs scored and 34 RBI while also stealing 22 bases. She was named an NJCAA 1st Team All-American following her sophomore season at CSI.

High School: Wilkinson graduated from Idaho Falls HS (Idaho) where she played numerous positions for the Tigers under the guidance of head coach Mike Durrant. She lettered for the Tigers for four seasons while picking up three All-Area accolades including a 1st Team honor as a senior in 2011. Wilkinson also excelled in the classroom, serving as a member of the Honor Society and claiming the High Country Conference Award during all four years at IFHS.

Major: Wilkinson is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Wilkinson is the daughter of Jay and Traci Wilkinson and she has one sister, Alex.
