Biography

2015 (Junior):
Ramirez continued the tradition of great shortstops at West Texas A&M during her first season in 2015 as the Arizona native was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) 3rd Team All-American. The talented slapper hit .436 on the season with eight doubles and one triple to drive in 17 RBI from the leadoff spot while walking 26 times for an on-base clip of .517, Ramirez led the team in stolen bases with 16 successful steals on 19 attempts. The sure-handed shortstop registered a fielding clip of .942 on the season with 64 putouts and 130 assists. Ramirez was named a 1st Team All-Lone Star Conference selection while picking up NFCA 1st Team All-South Central Region acclaim.
 
Previous School:
Ramirez joined the Lady Buffs in the Fall of 2015 following two standout years at Pima JC (Arizona) where she played shortstop and third base for the Aztecs under head coach Armando Quiroz. Ramirez continues a strong tie to the Aztecs as former Lady Buffs Jessica Sipe, Mercedes Garcia and Adriana Garcia were all alumni of Pima JC. Ramirez led the Aztecs to the NJCAA Region 1 Championship along with a third place finish in the NJCAA postseason as she hit .419 on the season in 2013 followed up by an appearance in the NJCAA Region 1 Tournament as a sophomore in 2014.
 
High School:
Ramirez graduated from Benson HS (Arizona) in 2012 where she played shortstop for the Bobcats under the guidance of head coach Shad Housley. Ramirez was a 1st Team All-State and All-Region selection at BHS while leading the Bobcats to the 2011 Arizona 2A State Championship.
 
Personal:
Born November 27th. Ramirez is the daughter of Vincent and Sherril Ramirez and she has five siblings: Josh, Matt, Levi, Casey and Stephanie. She is majoring in Criminal Justice at WT with a minor in Psychology.
