Biography

2019 (Redshirt Freshman):
Martinez made six appearances in the circle for the Lady Buffs allowing nine runs (nine earned) on 15 hits with two strikeouts and three walks in 7 2/3 innings. Made her collegiate debut (3/12) against MSU Denver retiring the side in six pitches. Pitched a career-high 3 1/3 innings against Texas A&M-Kingsville (3/30). Also record four at-bats including a seas-high two against Western New Mexico (2/16). 

2018 (Redshirt):
Martinez redshirted for the Lady Buffs during the 2018 season.

At Permian High School:
Martinez comes to Canyon following a standout prep career at Permian High School in Odessa, Texas where she pitched and played in the outfield for the Panthers under head coach Kristin Williams. She was a First Team All-District selection for the Panthers as a senior while picking up Team MVP honors her junior season.

Personal:
Born October 14th. Daughter of Angel and Leslie Martinez and she has one sister, Madilyn. Majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
