2012: Garcia stepped into a starting role at second base for the Lady Buffs in 2012, hitting .267 with four doubles, one triple and two homeruns for 20 RBI. She also walked 18 times and registered a .969 fielding percentage with 71 putouts and 85 assists. Garcia also impressed in the classroom, being named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Previous School: Garcia attended Pima Community College (Arizona) where she played second base and pitched for the Aztecs under head coach Armando Quiroz. She led the team to the Conference Championship in 2010 and was named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region in 2011.

High School: Garcia graduated from Rincon HS (Arizona) in 2009, playing numerous positions for the Rangers under head coach Monica Montijo. She was honored with a spot on the Honorable Mention First Team for her efforts on the diamond.

Major: Garcia is a Health Sciences major at West Texas A&M.

Personal: Garcia is the daughter of Mike Garcia and the late Marchelle Romero and has two siblings, Michael and Jeremy.
