West Texas A&M University Athletics

Previous School: Wright spent the 2008 season at the University of Maryland, where she made 19 appearances and posted a 6-3 won-loss record and a 2.88 ERA. She stuck out 39 over 65.2 innings pitched and allowed opponents a .221 batting average.

Junior College: Wright attended Santa Fe CC in Gainesville, Fla., where she pitched for the Saints and helped lead them to the Mid-Florida Conference championship. She received MFC Pitcher of the Year honors and was named first team All-American after posting a 22-1 record.

High School: Wright attended Mesquite HS where she pitched and helped lead her team as district champs and regional qualifies. She was named first team all-district and region all four years of her prep career.

Personal: Wright is the daughter of Laura Burks and Steve Wright. She has four siblings, Jeb, Michaela, Alexis and Dainelle. She is majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations at WTAMU.
