2013: McCowan returns to the volleyball court for the Lady Buffs following four years of competition with the WT Track & Field program. McCowan is no stranger to the Lady Buff tradition, she was a true freshman middle blocker for the Lady Buffs during their National Runner-Up finish in 2009.

2009-2013: McCowan competed for the Lady Buff Track & Field team, being a key figure in the resurgence of the program as she competed in the 100m Hurdles, Javelin and Shot Put.

2009: McCowan was a key role player off of the bench as a true freshman for the Lady Buffs during the team’s run to the Division II National Championship Game in 2009. She saw time in 19 matches as she registered 29 kills for an average of 0.85 per set while also tallying 18 total blocks and six digs.

High School: McCowan attended Tascosa HS (Texas) where she competed in the 100m hurdles and the 4x100m where she was a three time regional finalist and a District Champion in 2008. She was also a member of the Rebels Volleyball team. McCowan also excelled in the classroom, being named a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and a member of the National Honor Society.
