Biography

2014: Dacosin made an immediate impact on the Lady Buffs during her junior season in 2014 after transferring from Eastern Arizona JC. The Hawaii native hit .349 with 19 doubles, three triples and 13 homeruns to drive in 74 RBI for a slugging percentage of .694 while walking 39 times for an on-base percentage of .461. Dacosin also stepped into the vacant left field spot for WT and ran with the opportunity as the junior registered 37 putouts to go along with three assists and just three errors for a fielding percentage of .930 during her first season to ever play the outfield. She was a major part  of WT’s run to the National Title in 2014, hitting .412 from the cleanup spot with three doubles, one triple and three homeruns to drive in 16 RBI in 11 games for an incredible slugging percentage of .824. Dacosin was honored for her efforts on the diamond as she was named an All-South Central Region performer by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as well as an All-Lone Star Conference 2nd Team selection.
 
Previous School: Dacosin joins the Lady Buffs following a two year career at Eastern Arizona JC (Arizona) where she played third base and caught for the Gila Monsters under head coach Kate McCluskey. Dacosin was an Honorable Mention selection for the Monsters who went 41-17 and finished third in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.
 
High School: Dacosin graduated from James B. Castle HS (Hawaii) in 2011, playing third base and catching for the Knights under the guidance of head coach Jon Berinobis. She helped the Knights to a 2nd place finish in the State Tournament and she was named an Impact Player in the State Championship game, Dacosin also lettered in basketball at CHS.
 
Major: Dacosin in majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology at West Texas A&M.
 
Personal: Dacosin is the daughter of Darren and Monica Dacosin and she has three siblings: Chandelle, Darrien and Raykelle.
