Biography

2008 (JUNIOR)

Ruzicki earned first team All-LSC after a solid campaign during her first season in which she appeared in 56 games. She had a .318 batting average, with five home runs and 17 RBIs. She led the team with 11 doubles. She was successful on the base paths, stealing 12 bases on 13 attempts. She connected her first home run of her WT career on March 11 in a home contest against Lubbock Christian. Ruzicki set a season high with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate with a home run on March 20 against Fort Hays State and tied that mark again with a 3-for-3 performance in a contest against St. Edward[apos]s on April 19. She tied a season high with two RBIs during a 2-for-3, with two RBI performances in the series finale against Abilene Christian on April 27.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL

Ruzicki spent two seasons at Valley City State in Valley City, N.D., where she played both second base and centerfield. During the 2006 season, she had a .349 batting average, with 11 doubles and 14 stolen bases. In 2007, Ruzicki had a .417 batting average, with 12 doubles, two home runs and a perfect 13-for-13 mark on the base paths. She was also selected to the NFCA Louisville Slugger All-Region team.

HIGH SCHOOL

Ruzicki attended St. Francis HS where she played in the outfield, at second base and at shortstop during her prep career. She also played field hockey and track and field, earning all-star accolades for field hockey. She graduated with honors and a bilingual diploma.

PERSONAL

Ruzicki is the daughter of Alan Ruzicki. She has one sister, Kristin. She is majoring in Pre-Medicine at WTAMU.
