2016 (Freshman):
Baker made the most of her limited time on the diamond for the Lady Buffs as a true freshman in 2016, seeing time in 11 contests with her lone start of the season coming against Lincoln (Feb. 19). She hit .667 on the season with six hits in her eight at-bats including her first collegiate homerun against the Blue Tigers as she drove in five RBI that afternoon. The talented freshman was a go-to pinch running option for the Lady Buffs in 2016, scoring eight runs during her 11 contests while registering a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 with two putouts in left field. Baker excelled in the classroom for the Lady Buffs, being named a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll during both semesters.
 
At Clemens High School:
Baker came to Canyon following a standout prep career at Clemens High School (Texas) where she played in the outfield for the Buffaloes under head coach Amanda Balthun. She was a two-time 1^st Team All-District selection while also picking up All-Area recognition.  She attended MacArthur HS (Texas) in San Antonio during her first two years of high school. Baker also excelled in the classroom, picking up Academic All-District honors for three seasons and being named the school’s Outstanding Senior Girl.
 
Personal:
Born August 23^rd. Baker is the daughter of Sean and Connie Baker and she has one brother, Aiden. She is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
