Jenelle Trautmann

Jennelle Trautmann was hired as the assistant softball coach in August 2019 after spending the previous four years as the lead assistant coach under Michael Mook at Valley City State University.
 
During her fourth and final season with the Vikings, Trautmann helped VCSU to a program record 54 wins and appearance in the NAIA World Series. In 2018, VCSU posted a 39-12 overall record and placed second in the NSAA standings. The 39 wins were the second-most in program history at the time. She was also part of the VCSU coaching staff that won 40 games in 2016, where the team set 13 new program records. 
 
Trautmann was a four-time All-America selection at Augustana, excelling as both a pitcher and utility player. As a pitcher, she went. 32-3 in the circle during her senior season and graduated as the school’s all-time leader in wins and strikeouts. At the plate, she finished her career with 75 home runs and led the NCAA in RBIs as a senior.
